Sam grew up in a big family from Palatine, Illinois. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Theology. He is energized by discussions of gender and feminism. He is a big Tolkien fan and wants to ride his bike all the time. Despite being too tall for airplanes to be comfortable, he is terrible at basketball.
